The Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic would like to congratulate the Los Angeles Lakers on winning their 16th NBA title. The clinic would also like to congratulate the Kerlan-Jobe physicians who worked with the Lakers players and staff throughout this winning season.

When Dr. Robert K. Kerlan started his practice in 1950, sports medicine was not yet a recognized speciality. Dr. Kerlan had an avid interest in sports, however; he was named the team physician for the Dodgers when they moved to Los Angeles in 1958. Since that time, the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic has shaped the art and science of sports medicine, and professional athletes based in Southern California and beyond have continued to trust the clinic with their care.
