About the Fellowship Programs

As a preeminent center for research and education in orthopaedics and sports medicine, Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute remains a pioneer in medical breakthroughs. We have been responsible for developing advanced surgical methods and procedures to enhance treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery for our patients.

In 1973, organization, then Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, established a sports medicine fellowship program that is now one of the country's largest and most respected programs of its kind and has grown to include fellowships in Adult Shoulder & Elbow Reconstruction, Sports Neurology, and Primary Care Sports Medicine. Each year this program provides intensive training and research for a select group of the nation's finest young doctors.

The Fellowship Programs are designed to be an enriching addition to an already extensive orthopaedic education with the goal to develop clinical acumen for orthopaedics, academic experience with research, and medical education and leadership development. Sports medicine and orthopaedic proficiency will be gained through intense clinical training at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute.
