Christos D. Photopoulos, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports
medicine at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. His areas
of clinical interest include arthroscopic surgery, joint preservation,
knee replacement surgery, and fracture care.
Dr. Photopoulos is a team physician for the Los Angeles Rams. He has been
an orthopaedic consultant to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers,
Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Sparks. Dr. Photopoulos
has also been an orthopaedic consultant for a variety of other professional
and collegiate athletics, including the PGA tour and USC Football.
Dr. Photopoulos completed medical school at Dartmouth Medical School where
he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed
his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania
and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was elected administrative
chief resident and awarded the DeForest Willard Award for most outstanding
performance by a senior resident. Dr. Photopoulos went on to train at
Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, a founding partner of the Cedars-Sinai
Kerlan-Jobe Institute, and remained on as faculty upon completion of his

in research and has published several scientific articles and book chapters.
